Pre-weekend Workshop

Friday, November 14: Dance Calling Workshop with Tom Hinds
1:00 - 4:30pm.Want to build or improve your dance calling skills? You'll have a great opportunity to do that at this afternoon calling workshop with Tom, nationally-known for his calling and for the fabulous dances he has written. Pre-registration required for this workshop. ~$20.

10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Intermediate Waltz Workshop w/ Bob Green (music: Martha Edwards)
11:15-12:45 p.m. Wild and Crazy Squares Workshop w/ Tom Hinds and Lit Splickety

Break for lunch
2:30 - 3:45 p.m. New Compositions Workshop w/ Tom Hinds and Lit Splickety
3:45 - 5:00 p.m. Challenging Contras Workshop w/ Tom Hinds and Lit Splickety

Break for dinner
7:30-10:30 p.m. Evening Dance w/ Tom Hinds and Lit Splickety
11:15 p.m. - ??? After-dance party at the Pennington's,
2203 Massachusetts St. Bring potluck snacks.

Sunday, November 16
10:00 a.m. - Noon Potluck Brunch at Lisa Harris's, 1540 New Hampshire St.
12:30 p.m. Concert by Lit Splickety followed by farewell dance until 3:00 p.m.

A block of rooms is available for Friday and Saturday night at Motel 6, 1130 North 3rd Street, close to the dance location. To reserve one of these rooms, phone the motel at 785-749-4040 before Tuesday, Nov 11, and ask to reserve a room in the "Lawrence Barn Dance" block.

Fine Print: Pre-registration not necessary for main weekend. No Partner Necessary.
Wear clean shoes appropriate to dancing. No hard black heels, no shoes that tend to
carry gravel in their treads, no cowboy boots. No smoking or alcohol in buildings.
Supervised children only.
